Project Manager


This position is responsible to lead the project team in the completion projects and ensure fulfillment meets the scope of work, is on time, and on budget. In addition, the PM provides assistance estimating projects as needed.

  • Position reports to VP of Operations
  • Position is a salary and overtime exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities as outlined in this Job Description may be changed from time to time by DesignShop as necessary:

  1. Comprehensive project planning, purchasing, fabrication supervision, budgeting, accounting and project performance analysis.
  2. Project ownership from design handoff to delivery.
  3. Validates quotes, material lists and project timelines including support for client correspondence and proposals when required.
  4. Collaborates with and directs in-house production and partner vendors.
  5. Capable of offering fabrication alternatives.
  6. Delivers multiple projects simultaneously while managing timelines, quality, and budgets.
  7. Observes deadlines, prioritizes workloads and operates under limited time constraints.
  8. Coordinates internal production departments to ensure meeting client objectives and budget parameters.
  9. Contributes to the Continuous Improvement process.
  10. Represents DesignShop in concept and budget meetings with clients.
  11. Communicates effectively within DesignShop and with the clients regarding details of the project.
  12. Possesses a full understanding of client's properties.
  13. Sources and procures specialty materials and services in conjunction with purchasing.
  14. Support all necessary business systems.
  15. May be required to travel to domestic and international shows when necessary for show site management of client’s exhibit and services.
  16. Collaborates with other Project Managers to offer creative solutions utilizing both existing components and newly fabricated parts.
  17. Communicates effectively with regional partners; able to overcome language and time challenges.
  18. Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
